Here is our journey since first opening our doors…
In April 1996...
We opened our first branch
With bundles of property knowledge and the passion to deliver an outstanding customer experience, we set out on a journey to provide a new level of service in the local property market.
Over the following 25 years, we have continued with the same drive that has helped us build a fantastic team of individuals with the same passion of combining the very best of good, old-fashioned customer service, with the very latest technology and marketing tools.
In May 1999...
We won the Nationwide NAEA Estate Agency Office of the Year Award for Central England
This was a fantastic accolade to be recognized at this level within just 3 years of opening. But it was also the feather in our cap that gave us the drive and reassurance to continue in our beliefs knowing we stood out from our competitors.
Unfortunately the youthful looks may have gone, but the drive and passion to put the client first are still at the centre of everything we do today.
In September 2009...
We opened our 2nd branch
On the busy junction in Bushey Mill Lane on the Tudor Estate in North Watford.
Opening a new office from a cold start was an extremely difficult task welcomed with both hands by experienced agent and local resident Matthew Holmes.
Matthew has continued to this day to dedicate a huge amount of hard work and long days building the North Watford branch to become the leading agent it is today.
Here we are today...
From trainees to outstanding Company Directors
From their first days as trainee negotiators at South Oxhey, right through to leading their own branches today, both Matt and Rob have grown into the outstanding Company Directors they are today. When Matthew took on the challenge of building our brand at our new office in North Watford, Rob continued to grow and build his reputation at our South Oxhey office.
Both Matt Holmes and Robert Simmons will be the first to say, nothing they have achieved would have been possible without the outstanding staff support they have received from fellow colleagues year after year.
In 2014...
Rose & Co merged with Fairfield Lettings
After many years as respected fellow agents, David and Angela Rose made the decision to join forces with us at Fairfield.
It was the perfect partnership to help us grow our lettings business and inherit the huge wealth of lettings knowledge that David and Angela brought with them.
After 7 great years, our relationship has gone from strength to strength, and David Rose is still a key part of the management team here at Fairfield.
In 2019...
We moved to our new corner location.
After nearly 25 years at our very first branch, we were informed by the local authority that we were located right in the middle of their plans for the South Oxhey regeneration project.
This turned into a great opportunity and we were lucky to secure a brand new office within the new development on a prime corner location just 100m from Carpenders Park station.
This was the perfect springboard to make a long-term investment for the next 10 years by creating a modern state-of-the-art property shop.
With four large window displays located on a prime corner location, we have the latest video screen technology to promote properties to the large footfall of traffic that passes the office every day.
In 2021...
We welcomed Churchills to the Fairfield family.
This was another great opportunity to join forces with an independent agency that shared the same values for delivering high-quality service.
This was the perfect match that enabled us to create a network of branches covering every WD postcode in Watford.
For more than 30 years John and Colin have built an enviable reputation as experts of the Bushey property market and will continue providing their amazing knowledge to homeowners in the area.
