Do you know what simple mistake could make a landlord liable to pay their tenant’s water bill?

Posted 01.09.21

Flood and Water Management Act 2010

Under this Act the landlord is required to provide the full names of their tenants & the start date of the tenancy within 21 days.

What are the consequences?

If you don’t – you may become liable to pay the water bill even if your tenancy agreement cites the tenant as the bill payer!

Do you have an agent managing your tenancy?
