Job Description

We are looking for a trainee property consultant who is full of enthusiasm and interested to delve into the world of property.  Our training will include all aspects of Property Sales and Lettings.

This is a nationally recognised award by Propertymark and a key criterion for select membership bodies. You will learn basic to advanced knowledge regarding the sale of residential property and the practices of estate agents.  This will be provided through an approved provider.  In addition, you will also simultaneously follow our own internal training program detailed below that includes an introduction to residential lettings.

 

Sales and Lettings training programme includes:

Comprehensive Induction training programme into the Fairfields day to day business model;

Comprehensive Property Consultant training programme covering all aspects of Estate Agency, including both Sales and Lettings;

How to manage a large database of clients through regular telephone contact, building a rapport with clients, and offering the mixed services of referral partners we have. This will include learning a skill set to grade each buyer and to establish a pro-active list of potential hot buyers and potential instructions;

Accompanying viewings with property consultants and learning how to build a rapport with clients to understand their requirements;

Learning negotiation techniques with applicants for both sales and lettings, to achieve the best options for the Vendor or Landlord;

How to progress sales at each key stage to a satisfactory completion, including liaising with Vendor, Buyer, Solicitors, and Mortgage Brokers in an attempt to establish regular updates for your clients;

The importance of board management and mail drop marketing to secure new clients and instructions;

How to manage a list of referrals interested in the bolt-on services we offer;

Maintaining files for individual property records together with cloud filing systems for Sales, Rental, and Managed properties;

The very important security procedure of property key management for Sales, Lettings and Managed properties;

Managing the completion of files for ‘New Property Instruction’ checklist compliance for each sale and lettings instruction. This includes chasing clients for information to complete these files;

Processing and creating property marketing details.

 

We would be very interested to hear if you believe you have the following:

Passionate ability to deliver outstanding ‘Customer Service’;

Friendly telephone manner with a willingness to please;

Good organisation and self-motivation to be able to manage and prioritise a busy workload;

A natural sense of understanding the importance of ownership to a particular issue;

Excellent computer skills to include MS Office Outlook, along with some knowledge of Excel and a keen interest to learn our property software package;

General knowledge of Watford would be beneficial but not essential, but with an interest to enhance your understanding of sub-areas of Watford.

 

Qualification requirements

Minimum 7 GCSE’s of C grade and above, including Maths and English ;

Studied A Levels. 2 A Level passes would be great but not essential;
